An ability to tutor multiple subjects is always a plus. Tutors must have access to reliable transportation and daily internet access and should be in the habit of checking email regularly for updates from the company and for scheduling information.
Tutoring takes place in student's homes unless they live too far (more than 20 minutes) from you or their house is too distracting. There is no reimbursement for gas. As a 1099 Independent Contractor you can deduct your mileage and any related vehicle maintenance from your annual tax return.
You are responsible for contacting the student or family within 24 hours to schedule the first tutoring session and sending regular updates to the company via email. You will also need to enter your hours using our online system every two weeks. Most tutors work 5-10 hours per week depending on your availability and number of subjects you can tutor. Summit Autism Services is a behavioral consulting company dedicated to providing professional evidence-based behavior analytic services to children with autism and related developmental disabilities. In collaboration with families and other professionals, we create individual goals and apply best practices from multiple disciplines to provide effective treatment for each child. Our treatment methodology incorporates the science of applied behavior analysis (ABA), knowledge and understanding of infant/child development, and emphasis on positive social-emotional relationships, and communication development.
The successful candidate would have a Bachelors’ degree, one year of experience utilizing the principles of ABA/AVB preferred (but not necessary), love being a member of a team, have excellent communication skills, and is dedicated to improving the lives of children with autism through evidence-based interventions.
We are currently hiring Behavior Consultants to work with children with autism (or related developmental disabilities) in our Outreach Program to better serve our families that reside in Las Vegas, NV. The Position requires the following:
• A minimum of a MA/MS
• Experience working with children with autism
• Knowledge of ABA preferred; but we will provide training if needed
• Appropriate educational or training background
• Full time and part time positions available
Job duties: providing ongoing evaluation, treatment, and consultation services to children and their families using the principles of applied behavior analysis within the family context, providing consultation to public school personnel, conduct behavior assessments, develop behavior intervention plans, performing direct therapy, and conducting parent training.
We are also looking for tutors with backgrounds in specific areas such as elementary school reading/spelling/math and students with learning disabilities. An ability to tutor multiple subjects is always a plus. Tutors must have access to reliable transportation and daily internet access and should be in the habit of checking email regularly for updates from the company and for scheduling information.
Tutoring takes place in student's homes unless they live too far (more than 20 minutes) from you or their house is too distracting. There is no reimbursement for gas. As a 1099 Independent Contractor you can deduct your mileage and any related vehicle maintenance from your annual tax return.
You are responsible for contacting the student or family within 24 hours to schedule the first tutoring session and sending regular updates to the company via email. You will also need to enter your hours using our online system every two weeks. Most tutors work 5-10 hours per week depending on your availability and number of subjects you can tutor. Tutoring is usually in the evenings or on the weekends and you will be using the student's materials from school or a test preparation book that they must provide.
