Job Scope:
Implement, install, support and train MICROS point of sale products for the restaurant hospitality industry in the local regional market while providing excellent customer service.
Demonstrate the skills and knowledge of a Senior Implementation Specialist including the ability to lead a team on high-profile, complex, or very large implementations.
Develop and/or assist the Academy in the development of product and soft skills training programs related to implementation.
Provide training to Implementation Specialists for core and chain specific SW. Serve as high-level technical resource for Implementation Specialists, Project Managers, customers and sales.
Assist in the testing and documenting of computer programs, based on and related to user or system design specifications. Assist Project Management and/or sales/customers to develop solutions and roll-out plans and RFP's.
Provide initial consulting services for new major account roll-outs including design and documentation of corporate shell computer databases. Integrate systems to achieve maximum functionality.
Visit customer sites to install custom software or to provide an estimate/consultation for new products. Some travel is required, both domestically and/or internationally.
Due to the nature of this position, employee maybe subject to extensive background checks (including fingerprinting) by MICROS customer's and/or vendors as a condition to conduct business on their premises. Other duties may be assigned.
Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 4 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must possess current driver's license.
Must have the ability and willingness to travel 90% of the time. NT, Unix, or MCSE certification(s) are desirable.
Background in POS and/or PMS vendor installation experience, systems training and support preferred.
Computer training, familiarity with GUI environments and standard applications including mastery of at least one MICROS application and its associated operating system.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fabulous customer service acumen.
