Chief Technology Officer – Web Developer
We are a small, on-line based business currently searching for a technically savvy individual to further develop many aspects of our website.
We serve luxury-oriented companies (yachting, cigars, fine living, etc) with a new marketing medium for which they can advertise businesses. Our reach is currently the northeast target market, with plans to emerge into the national and international venues by participating in events oriented with that goal in mind. Our approach will employ a unique pricing strategy that keeps the customer's costs at a minimum and their exposure to the public higher than using local marketing vehicles such as newspapers and want-ads.
Other features of the business include:
-Direct web links to client's websites
-Local and national/international event updates and advertising
-Advertising on a mobile and prominent stage
-Sponsorship of automotive events in the area and around the nation
-Various other forms of community involvement
The business is in need of new web-design, an interactive purchasing module which can be PHP, Flash, Java or any other applicable module, Search Engine Optimization and progression in the selling of advertising space on our marketing medium. We are also looking to expand the company into surrounding states with prominent automotive and luxury markets, so there will be projects that need technical and developmental leadership in the near future, with a target date of completion by January 2009.
Those interested should be:
- Proficient in many forms of web coding, site design, and SEO
- Familiar with Photoshop and Illustrator/Familiar with Flash, Java, PHP and/or other coding methods or interactive mediums.
- Experienced with, or be willing to proficiently learn, Google applications such as Adwords and Analytics, etc.
- Familiar with E-Commerce concepts and how your role as chief of technology will streamline processes, enhance revenue collection, and add overall value to the company.
-Able to make basic updates, format changes and additions to current website in a timely fashion.
-Familiar with the automotive and luxury industries (SEMA, NOPI, golfing, cigars, yachting, etc)
-Willing to provide services, at first, in a "Profit Sharing/Percent Ownership of Business" model of compensation, stipend/salary to follow.
-Understanding that your role will be part owner and a chief officer in a company, fulfilling a technical role primarily, but at other times be involved in business strategy and decision making.
-Intuitive and possess the desire and passion to see their ideas flourish into business models that will aid in the expansion and profitability of the business.
-Either already well established professionally, or a university/graduate student looking to get in on the ground level of a start up business with a high potential of further success.
-Willing to work with a highly motivated, young but experienced staff that encourages hard work and ingenuity, sets itself to high standards and success, however employs a business model that includes and promotes fun and creativity.
