Antique Brass Samovar with teapot, tray and bowl. 8.5" wide x 17.5" high
A beautiful and rare antique Russian charcoal samovar, on a square base with 4 legs, cylindrical body, wooden side handles. Typical of the Russian Imperial style, this classic set consists of a samovar, drainer and brass tray. The front of the body is stamped with 3 Russian seals, the tray shaped with a raised rim, with a circular bowl for draining. Late 19th early 20th century. Stamped on the side with the brand of the Batashev company (БР. Баташевы въ Туле) - one of the most famous samovar factories in Tula, founded by the Batashev brothers, Vasily and Alexander who were considered real "samovar kings" in Tula before the revolution. The famous Batashev factory was founded in 1840. Samovars of the Batashev brothers factory were appreciated for the quality of the material and quality workmanship. Good general condition.
