Beautiful early 1900s German porcelain hat pin holder marked “R S” in a green wreath with star (RS Germany). This classic vanity piece features soft hand-painted pink and purple roses with green leaves and delicate gold accents on a white ground. The body has a lovely iridescent pastel blue-to-pink luster finish, scalloped rim with gold trim, and a matching scalloped saucer-style base also decorated with roses and gold scrolling.
The light blue top has multiple small holes (perfect for long hat pins) and gold edging. Very pretty and feminine Art Nouveau / Edwardian style.
Measurements:
Approximately 5 inches tall × 4¾ inches wide at the base (as shown with tape measure).
Condition: Excellent antique condition – no chips, cracks, or crazing visible. Gold trim is bright with only minor wear consistent with age. Colors remain vibrant.
Mark: Clear RS Germany green wreath & star mark on the base (Reinhold Schlegelmilch, Suhl, Germany – commonly found on quality porcelain hat pin holders from the 1910s–1920s).
This is a genuine vintage hat pin holder, not a modern reproduction. Perfect for collectors of RS Germany, hat pin accessories, or elegant Victorian/Edwardian vanity items.
Would also make a lovely ring holder or small flower bud vase when not holding pins.
