Are you a resident of Henderson who is frustrated with hearing emergency vehicle sirens or seeing fire or police vehicles doing something in your neighbored and not knowing what’s going-on? Are you one of the people always posting to Nextdoor or Ring social media each time you hear a loud noise or see a police vehicle stopped on your street, and are starting to get embarrassed that you do it so often? Are you someone who as part of your personal emergency preparedness, wants good local situational awareness if there’s a local or regional (or national) emergency?

I am selling a Harris Corp P7200 handheld 'walkie-talkie' radio programmed with a variety of local public safety channels, so you can hear the raw information directly over the police, fire & EMS radio networks.

This is not a scanner radio (I have scanners too, but this works better... ), this is an older former public safety radio obtained on the surplus market that was re-programmed with Henderson Police, Fire & other area public safety radio channels -- it's completely legally to possess and use. It is programmed for receive-only and does not transmit.

Programmable ‘police-scanners’ are very nice, once properly programmed, but this radio is for someone who simply wants to be able to easily listen to Henderson Police & Fire/EMS from wherever they are in the area, and since the radio itself was designed to be carried by police/fire, it’s much more rugged and is more sensitive than a scanner radio.

Technical disclaimer: It is a specific make & model of a walkie-talkie that can receive the radio network that Henderson Police/Fire use, *without* trying to “affiliate’ itself on the SNACC 800MHz digital trunked radio system, thus making it 100% legal. Some other radio makes/models (Motorolas, for-example) could be programmed with the trunked radio system for receive-only but the radio nonetheless will try to ‘affiliate’ (connect-to & handshake-with) it, which is highly illegal & easily detected by the public safety system administrators.

The radio is programmed to receive:
1. Henderson Police Main, Info, & other channels
2. Henderson Fire/EMS Dispatch and Tac channels
3. National Public Safety Interoperability 800MHz channels
4. Las Vegas Fire/EMS – Dispatch & Tac channels
5. Clark County Fire/EMS – Dispatch & Tac channels
6. Las Vegas City Marshals (City Jail, Animal Control, Fremont Street Experience Patrol, etc.)
7. Clark County Airports – McCarran International, Henderson Executive & North Las Vegas Airport Operations channels (these are airport operations channels, not air traffic control)
8. Hospitals – UMC Trauma Center, Sunrise Hospital, Mass Casualty & All-Call

And a few other agencies.

Note: It does NOT receive LVMPD or NSP – they’re on separate systems.

Battery is Lithium-Polymer (LiPo) rechargeable and the radio comes with the original drop-in charger.

Price is $300 CASH, FIRM! We'd meet in Henderson, demonstrate to the buyer how to use it, and the instruction manual should also be easily available on-line, should you want that.

If you're seeing this post, then YES, IT'S STILL AVAILABLE, so I'll ignore responses that just ask that.
