Inheriting the Tannoy tradition of dual concentric speakers, the Autograph Mini/GR features the smallest 10cm (4-inch) coaxial 2-way unit. The woofer uses a multi-fiber paper cone that balances lightweight and rigidity. The tweeter features a dome-shaped titanium diaphragm and a high flux density magnet, reproducing rich harmonic textures. Tannoy’s unique Techno Wave Guide (TW) and an exponential horn made from the woofer cone paper create precise spherical waves, providing a sound field rich in spatial depth across the entire frequency range.
The hand-crafted walnut-finished enclosure beautifully reproduces the elegant form of the Autograph in a smaller size. Adorned with the vintage TANNOY “Lightning Strike” logo and a gold plate proclaiming prestige with the GR (Gold Reference) engraving, it is a design truly worthy of being the successor to Tannoy’s tradition. The enclosure shape, which does not have parallel surfaces like the Autograph, disperses internal standing waves and unwanted reflections. With robust bracing, it produces surprisingly rich bass with minimal resonance, even at higher volumes.
The front grill employs a woven nylon net in brown and beige, reminiscent of the original Autograph, exuding a dignified aura that conveys Tannoy’s history and tradition to the present day. The crossover network has been newly designed for the Autograph Mini/GR, featuring custom capacitors, low-loss laminated core inductors, and precision coils, ensuring outstanding sound quality. Proudly made in the UK, each unit is carefully handcrafted by a skilled team of artisans, inheriting the excellence of Tannoy tradition.
