We’re seeking a talented Part-Time Cook to drive our coffee shop’s kitchen operations forward. Our kitchen has a small footprint but can handle all required menu items. Key Responsibilities:
• Handle daily food preparation, ensuring high-quality standards and efficiency.
• Follow recipes to enhance menu offerings while maintaining consistency.
• Assist Lead cook with menu and kitchen maintenance, fostering a collaborative and positive kitchen culture.
• Handle all standard cooking tasks, including sautéing, baking, plating and guest service.
• Maintain sanitation and safety protocols in compliance with health regulations.
• Collaborate with management on menu planning and special events.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Cook in a high-volume kitchen (1+ years preferred).
• Proficiency in food prepping, recipe creation, and costing analysis.
• Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredient sourcing, and portion control.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to assist other staff members when busy.
• SNHD Health Card certification required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
Schedule & Compensation:
• Hours: 5:00 AM - 1:00 PM, Mid-Week (16-24 hours per week).
• Competitive hourly wage based on experience, plus opportunities for tips and performance bonuses.
• Part-time position with potential for growth and full-time hours.
