Very beautiful with high quality emeralds and diamonds. 16.5" necklace. All details is in the appraisal photo in the listing. This piece along with the emerald and diamond ring I have listed for sale both came from the same Estate Sale. They belonged to Delores Owens, who was one of the first to break the glass ceiling in Vegas during the 80's.
Her story: Mrs. Owens, a 25-year resident of Las Vegas and formerly a resident of Grosse Pointe , was Executive Vice President of Middle East and European Marketing for MGM MIRAGE. Throughout her remarkable career, she became one of the casino industry's most prominent marketing executives. One close friend in the industry once said of Mrs. Owens stature in the business, "Dolores didn't crack the glass ceiling, she took a hammer to it!" In doing so, she paved the way for many women to successfully rise in the gaming industry. Her integrity and determination characterized her as a role model for all. Prior to moving to Las Vegas, Mrs. Owens lived in Grosse Pointe, where for 9 years she ran the Couture Salon at Saks 5th Avenue and also served as the personal assistant to the CEO of the National Bank of Detroit, a position she held for 10 years. She passed in November 2003 leaving behind her husband, George Robert until his passing in July 2021. These along with many designer items were in the Estate Sale I attended in November, 2021.
