COVID-19 is a contagious respiratory illness caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, first identified in late 2019. It ranges in severity from mild symptoms like fever, cough, and fatigue to severe illness including pneumonia, respiratory failure, and death, especially in older adults or those with underlying conditions. The virus spreads primarily through respiratory droplets, and prevention includes vaccination, mask-wearing, hand hygiene, and physical distancing.
If you are currently experiencing RSV-like symptoms, including fever, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, headache, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea, or diarrhea.
