The Quality Control Manager will be responsible for maintaining quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process and final inspections and recording quality results. The ideal candidate will possess a trained eye for detail and will be reliable and committed. In-depth knowledge of quality standards is essential. Candidate must possess strong leadership skills; management abilities, analytical and problem solving skills.
Duties and Tasks/Essential Functions:
• Implementing methods to inspect, test and evaluate products and production processes.
• Ensuring that products adhere to quality standards.
• Preparing reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data.
• Training and managing production line staff in quality practices.
• Tracking products through the manufacturing process to guarantee that each part of the process is correct.
• Performing detailed and recorded inspections of final products so the products are up to customer and company standards
• Approves incoming materials to confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
• Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.
• Monitor quality at various stages of the production process to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Records and tracks all Non-Conformances throughout the NCR Process.
• Monitors & controls Quarantine Area for all non-conformances
Skill and Knowledge Qualifications:
• Bachelor Degree in a related field preferred.
• Three years of QC Managerial experience required.
• Mechanical and electro-mech inspection experience required.
• Thorough knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies.
• Must be computer literate.
• Ability to speak and write clearly and accurately.
• Effective listening & communication skills.
• Multi-tasking capabilities.
• Knowledge of Lean Mfg. methodologies.
