•Supervise and coordinate all activities in the shop.
•Responsible for safety and schedule of all assigned work.
•Responsible for administering discipline to assigned employees.
•Foster a climate of continuous improvement in safety, production, personnel relations, equipment, maintenance, and plant efficiency.
•Directly supervise employees in work tasks to verify and ensure conformance to specifications, drawings, procedures, and quality.
•Interpret company policy to workers and enforces safety and environmental regulations. Interpret specifications, blueprints, sketches and work orders to employees.
•Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of customer product.
•Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of workers. Assist workers in solving work problems.
•Maintain time and production records of all employees.
•Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.
•Train employees Perform planning, assigning, and directing of work.
•Monitor and support all shop projects maintaining high quality, on time delivery and safety.
•Provide safety, equipment operation and procedural training to shop staff, as needed. Must be able to accomplish shop work in an efficient manner
•5 years of experience as a shop Foreman.
•Must be able to read and interpret blue prints and schematics.
•Expert level knowledge of all welding methods, procedures, and quality control.
•Knowledge safety standards.
•The ability to communicate and work effectively with managers, field personnel, and employees.
