Hi guitar gear fans of LV, I've complete my 8 month restoration mission to turn this phenomenal 53-55 era Les Paul gold top started life by acquiring MIJ Les Paul lawsuit husk by Fresher from early 80s set neck/70s style sandwich body made of mahogany back/side and 1 piece neck. Note:(this is not current Epiphone,Chibson,) so the vintage MIJ setneck Les pauls did make high quality construction of that time. Here are parts that's replaced. Plastic parts: Gibson 50s historic truss rod cover/jackplate/humbucker cover/toggle switch tip and cover, gold cyndrical knobs, generic Epiphone LP pickguard cut to size for pickups, Allparts black backplates. For hardware: 2 Gibson nickel button straplock/MIJ Epiphone wraparound bridge & studs/all steel screws. Electronics: Wilkinson's P-90 rhythm pickup & Seymour Duncan Whole lotta Love humbucker for lead, braided wiring, CTS 500K pots, Switchcraft toggle switch/jack, 2 sprague orange drops 0.22 caps. Pots are wired to 50s spec w middle toggle switch has now out of phase (Peter Green ) tone. Now the makeover construction. The husk was blank maple plain top which I originally resprayed tobacco burst in nitro but resprayed in gold w tint of green for aging/distress the top and headstock. It was to commemorate the Stanley Cup winning for NHL Champs V.G.K. The parts all reliced but not over distress. New medium fret job redone to set lowest action built for speed fusion/shred playability (can set higher if you play da blues. It did have stoptail & abr-1 bridge but converted to 1 wraparound bridge and intonation measured. Throwing in fender soft case. This would my 5th 50s goldtop makover (probably my favorite one) I've done in my restoration journeryman for 13 yrs when I used to be in LA. Asking $500 o.b.o. cash .
