I HAVE OWNED THIS SINCE NEW, AND WOULD BE GLAD TO GIVE YOU SOME FREE LESSONS ON HOW TO GET THE MOST OUT OF IT.
Up for sale is a very versatile Yamaha DGX-300 keyboard of which I am the original owner. It has never been out of my smoke-free home and I have used it for recording- by taking advantage of the 600 instrument voices. (Pros agree that Yamaha is BEST when it comes to richness and accuracy of instrument sounds). It boasts Very Large (5-inch) 2-way speakers.
In addition to having a plug-in power source, you can also run this with 6 D size batteries. In the photos are 2 pictures of the battery compartment
If you are a singer in search of a backup band this wonder will work for you. It has 135 backing rhythms in every imaginable style. You can set it to change chords as you sing by pushing the tonic (main) note of the chord, and it will change as you direct it to. There is button to give a professional introduction to the song, and another button go lay in a profession-sounding end to the song.
If you are doing multi-track recording, you can lay in the tracks one at a time, or there is a built-in 6-track sequencer to record within the keyboard. There are 10 different drum kits built in as well. And a stable of basses, flutes, horns, backing choirs (oohs and ahas) . Honestly, I think the only instrument this lacks is an Indian Sitar
One way this has served me is as a songwriting tool. I can find a backing band arrangement that fits the song, and then change the chords with one finger and cobble the arrangement together by feel and experimentation.
I'd be glad to give you occasional pointers on getting to know this. Why am I selling it? I bought a newer version that does the same things that this one does and more.
It comes with a folding "X Stand"- very portable and strong. It also has an "Expression Pedal" (when you hit a chord on a piano the sound quickly fades as a "damper" automatically cuts in. Pushing the expression pedal defeats the damper allowing the sound to ring out loud and proud until you take your foot off the pedal. Using this will become "automatic" over time.
Also included are the original books: The Owner's Manual, and the Song Bood that came with it.
I am looking for a good home for this, and am willing to help you get to know it...
