Have you ever done something you regret? Hurt or wronged someone and wished you could apologize? Or has anyone ever hurt you and all you want is hear them say they're sorry?
A new documentary series is looking for people who have hurt - physically or emotionally - someone and are looking for forgiveness, and people that have been hurt and are looking for an apology. From small misunderstandings to life-changing violence, we want to hear your stories. Examples include, but are not limited to: family estrangement, or other type of major relationship division caused by divorce, betrayal, judgements over sexuality, religion, addiction, etc, violent crime, or the intentional or accidental taking of someone's life.
Candidates must be willing to meet the other party face-to-face. There may be an apology or forgiveness offered, and while no one is obligated to accept an apology, openness and willingness to meet and listen IS necessary. The intention of the project is that both parties walk away with greater understanding, empathy, healing, or insight. This could be a facilitated restorative justice meeting, therapist-guided interaction, or simply two parties coming together to hear each other out.
