We're expanding our specialized team and seeking a professional Controlled Demolition Technician with hands-on experience in structural deconstruction, selective demolition, and restoration-ready tear-outs. This role is critical in preparing residential and commercial properties for safe rebuilds following water damage, fire damage, mold remediation, and major restoration projects.
π§ Key Responsibilities:
Perform selective and controlled demolition on residential and commercial structures (walls, flooring, ceilings, cabinetry, framing, drywall, tile, concrete, etc.).
Conduct precision tear-outs to prevent damage to unaffected structural areas.
Support mold remediation, water damage mitigation, and fire damage restoration via safe and strategic demolition practices.
Operate demolition tools: saws, grinders, jackhammers, demo hammers, HEPA vacs, negative air machines, and containment systems.
Follow IICRC standards and OSHA safety compliance.
Assist with site containment, debris removal, and jobsite documentation (before/after photos).
Work closely with project managers, estimators, and restoration techs to help set the stage for successful reconstruction.
π Qualifications:
β Proven experience in controlled demolition, restoration tear-outs, or construction/demolition
β Strong knowledge of structural components (framing, load-bearing walls, concrete, insulation, MEP awareness)
β Ability to work clean and efficientβno unnecessary damage
β Comfortable working in environments affected by water, mold, fire, or structural damage
β Must be able to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, remove building materials safely
β Valid driver's license & reliable transportation
β IICRC, OSHA 10/30, or abatement certifications, common sense β a strong plus
